VARIANT 1: SIDE SADDLE

The Calgary Saddledome was built for the 1988 Winter Olympics and is the oldest non-modified arena in the NHL. Calgary is cowboy country and home to the Calgary Stampede so building a stadium in the shape of a saddle makes a lot of sense.
