I don't often get a chance to see how people react to my artwork. I get lots of tweets and emails that they love my art, but I rarely get to see it first hand. So earlier this week, Dani messaged me on Instagram and asked me to create a ballpark princess piece of Princess Dodgers Tiana for her co-worker Bree as a birthday present. As you know, I do not do commissions, but this request was too good to pass up!
So I whipped up a new piece, drove down to their workplace, and we gave this artwork to Bree. Well, there was tears, and there was joy and there was immense happiness.
I must admit, this was a pretty unique and humbling experience for me. My Ballpark Princess series started out as a pet project, and now I'm getting offers and commission requests out of the wooza! As I always stated, due to my involvement with MLB baseball, I will not be selling any of these pieces. I only create these for the pure enjoyment and for people share and enjoy. And clearly, based on this reaction, it is well shared and enjoyed!
