The original mascot of the Atlanta Braves was a native Indian brave named Chief Noc-A-Homa who's name is a play on words "Knock a homer!" He lived in a teepee built on the stadium seats and his job was to come out after every Brave home run and do a dance. The Braves eventually replaced Chief Noc-A-Homa with a new mascot, Homer the Brave.
